Adding domains
Your subscription includes 2 domains. Each additional domain is a billing add-on at $18.95/month, charged on top of your base plan. A domain is the unit you pay for; a project is what you build inside VisibilityIQ on top of it. You add a paid slot first, then create the project that fills it.
What you’ll need
Section titled “What you’ll need”- Owner access to the organization (only the owner can change billing)
- A sign-in session, to reach Dashboard → Billing
- The root URL of the new domain, live and publicly reachable
- A valid payment method on file — the add-on is prorated to your next billing date
Add a domain
Section titled “Add a domain”- Sign in and go to Dashboard → Billing.
- Click Add domain.
- Confirm the additional charge. It’s $18.95/month, prorated to your next billing date, so the first charge reflects only the days remaining in the current cycle.
- Once payment confirms, go to Dashboard → Projects → New project and enter the new domain.
The new slot is available immediately after the payment clears — you don’t have to wait for the next billing cycle to start using it. Domain vs. project
Section titled “Domain vs. project”Keep the two ideas separate:
- A domain is a billing unit — a paid slot in your subscription.
- A project is the workspace you create for that domain inside VisibilityIQ, holding its crawl settings, connectors, keywords, and audit history.
One domain maps to one project. Deleting a project does not automatically release the paid slot — the add-on keeps billing until you explicitly remove it (below). Likewise, paying for a slot doesn’t create a project; you still create that yourself.
Remove a domain
Section titled “Remove a domain”When you no longer need an additional domain:
- Delete its project from Dashboard → Projects → [project] → Settings → Delete project.
- Email support@visibilityiq365.com to remove the domain add-on and stop the $18.95/month charge.
The two steps are independent on purpose — deleting the project clears the data, but the billing add-on must be removed separately so you’re never charged for a slot you’ve abandoned. Self-serve domain removal from the billing portal is on the roadmap; until it ships, the email step is required to stop the charge.
A practical note: if you’re only swapping one domain for another, you don’t need to remove and re-add a slot at all. Delete the old project, keep the paid slot, and create a new project on the replacement domain in the same slot. Removing the add-on only makes sense when you’re permanently reducing how many domains you track.
