Team Members & Roles

Your account is wrapped in an organization — created automatically when you signed up — and every project, connector, and audit lives inside it. Inviting team members lets colleagues work in the same organization and see the same projects and findings without sharing a single login. Each member keeps their own credentials and their own sign-in.

  • Owner access to the organization (only the owner can invite or remove members)
  • The email address of each person you want to add
  • Enough seats on your plan if your subscription caps team size — check your limit before sending invitations

Open Account → Organization → Team members and click Invite member. Enter the colleague’s email address, choose their role, and click Send invitation.

The invitee receives an email with a link to join. If they don’t already have a VisibilityIQ account, the link walks them through creating one first — including email verification — before they land in your organization. Invitation links expire after 7 days; if one lapses, the member simply appears as “pending” on the Team members page, where you can resend or revoke the invite.

VisibilityIQ uses two roles:

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerFull control: manage projects and connectors, run and configure audits, change billing, and invite or remove members. There is exactly one owner per organization.
MemberWork inside the organization’s projects — view audit findings, run audits, and use rank-tracking and competitor data. Members cannot change billing or manage the team.

The single owner is the person who created the organization. Day-to-day collaborators should be members; reserve the owner seat for whoever controls billing and team composition.

Go to Account → Organization → Team members, find the person, and click Remove. Their access is revoked immediately — their next request is rejected and they can no longer reach any project in your organization. Anything they created (projects, connector setups, audit history) stays with the organization; removing a person never deletes the work.

To remove a pending invite that hasn’t been accepted yet, use the Revoke action on that row.

How many members you can have depends on your plan. Check the current limit under Account → Billing → Plan details. If you need more seats than your plan allows, upgrade your subscription first, then send the additional invitations.
