Seasonality & Trends

Seasonality & Trends tells you when to publish. You enter up to five keywords and run them; VisibilityIQ returns each keyword’s search-interest series as a sparkline, flags the ones that move on a seasonal cycle, and marks the peak month. Knowing a term peaks in November means you publish or refresh in September — ahead of the rise, not into it. A secondary action pulls historical monthly volume for the same keywords when you want hard numbers behind the curve. It is action-first; each run spends a little budget.

  • A project to work in.
  • Up to five keywords to compare in one run.
  • Available data budget. Interest and volume data comes from VisibilityIQ’s keyword intelligence; each run consumes a small part of your project’s monthly data budget.

Open your project and go to Keywords & Content → Seasonality & Trends.

  1. Enter up to five keywords.
  2. Click Run to fetch their search-interest series.
  3. Read each sparkline, its seasonal badge, and its flagged peak month.
  4. Optionally click Backfill historical volume to pull historical monthly volume for the same keywords.

Each keyword returns a compact trend summary:

ElementWhat it tells you
SparklineThe search-interest series over time — the shape of demand
Seasonal badgeWhether the term follows a repeating seasonal cycle
Peak monthThe month interest is highest — your timing anchor

A seasonal badge plus a clear peak month is your signal to schedule. Plan content to land ahead of the peak so it’s indexed, understood, and gaining authority before demand arrives. Flat, non-seasonal terms can be published whenever capacity allows. The backfill adds historical monthly volume so you can size the opportunity, not just see its timing.

Nothing loads or refreshes automatically. Change the keywords and click Run again, or use Backfill historical volume for the deeper pull. If your monthly data budget is spent, the page shows a calm notice rather than an error — raise the budget or wait for the next cycle, then run again.
